Chicken and turkey meat deliver Omega 6 fatty acids that help sustain healthy skin and shiny coats. It’s also a good source of essential amino acids and glucosamine, which helps promote bone health.

  • Pet owners should consult with a veterinarian before feeding raw chicken to dogs since uncooked chicken can pose a salmonella risk to pets. 

  • Chicken that you prepare at home should be fully cooked without any seasoning, onions, or garlic, and cooking methods can include roasting, poaching, grilling, or baking.

  • Some dogs are allergic to chicken. The latest research data shows chicken to be the third most common food allergy among canines (as pictured below)
